Acrylic, ink, enamel, and genuine copper leaf on kinetic wall; 2021. This work was commissioned by interior designer Ernest de la Torre for his client’s loft in West Chelsea, Manhattan. I love the scale of this mural, painted in situ on an 11-1/2 foot moving wall which separates the kitchen from the living space. The copper will slowly oxidize over the next few years and adds warmth and depth to this industrial-style loft. I turned the corner and included several technobabble fragments into the kitchen space but only with enamel white-on-white.
